Secondary Courses for Sept 2026

ALL PROGRAMMES FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 WILL OPEN on 7 OCTOBER 2025.

All 2025 courses are now closed.  Please see Secondary Vacancies and Course information tab for a full list of all WLTTA courses and the schools offering places for 2026-27.

Scholarship and bursary funding for 2026 has not yet been confirmed; please check the Finance for Secondary tab for further information from late September.

CHOOSING YOUR SCHOOL

Unlike many providers, we enable you to choose your preferred main host school (or schools) at application. Indeed we want you to ensure that the school you apply to train with is a school you would later aspire to work in as a qualified teacher. We provide information about our schools to help you decide which places to apply for. Each school interviews independently but we control the process centrally and operate a referral system - see more information in the course documents.

SEARCHING FOR COURSES NATIONALLY

You can compare courses from different providers and see what's available near where you live, on the DfE portal  https://find-teacher-training-courses.service.gov.uk   Our own courses are  included in this portal but it's still easier to see our vacancies and download the course information document from our vacancies tab.  You could use the FIND portal perhaps to compare our courses to those offered by others.

NEED HELP?

We run a 'live' presentation and Q&A session every fortnight in term time, about getting into teaching. This is very detailed and candidates have found it useful - see tab on left to sign up for one of our sessions.

Otherwise, please email any queries to Pippa Currey pcurrey@sacredh.lbhf.sch.uk

 or call Pippa (Mon - Thurs) on 0208 748 7600 x 290

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Please note: we are unable to accept applications from overseas students unless they are already in this country because you would need to interview in person at the school. You would also be subject to overseas university fees which are considerably higher than UK fees (around £18,000) and you would need to prove you have the financial means to support yourself during your training year including rent and maintenance costs. .

Our schools will not accept applications from candidates unable to attend an interview in person.
