Interviews

All applications for WLTTA secondary courses are considered by the school that you identified in your application, in collaboration with WLTTA centrally and the university.  The administration of this process all takes place through the WLTTA Office (0208 748 7600 x290 and x466).   

Interviews are scheduled throughout the academic year as applications are shortlisted.  Courses are closed as they fill up. Our vacancy list is updated regularly to show this.

The interview process is different depending on which university accredits the course and we include full details in all our individual course documents on the vacancy page. 

We set out below an overview of the arrangements of all our courses.

WLTTA COURSES ACCREDITED BY ST MARY'S UNIVERSITY

For salaried courses there is one interview and it is with the school. After applying, please send scans of your degree cert/transcript and Maths & English GCSEs or equivalents (if you have them) to Pippa Currey pcurrey@sacredh.lbhf.sch.uk

For unsalaried courses there is an initial online interview with the university, and if you pass this, a further interview with the school a few days later. The university will email you about uploading scans of various documents to their portal.  This will include identification documents and relevant qualification certificates and transcripts if you have them available (see course requirements later below). 

They may also ask you to complete a brief subject audit questionnaire.  This will help us to establish the range of your subject knowledge and whether or not a subject knowledge enhancement course may be needed as a condition, if an offer is made.  This can all be discussed at interview.

If you are still taking your degree or GCSE equivalency tests, that’s fine but if you don’t have access to original certificates of exams already taken for your degree and maths and English GCSEs, this is something that you should start to resolve now.  If you don’t have them in time for the interview, please be assured that we could still make an offer to you but it would be subject to later verification of your qualification certificates and sometimes certified copies can take a couple of months to arrive.

WLTTA COURSES ACCREDITED BY ROEHAMPTON UNIVERSITY 

There is only one interview and its with the school. The university may sometimes join us for these interviews.  Please send scans of your ID documents, degree and maths & English GCSEs to Pippa Currey pcurrey@sacredh.lbhf.sch.uk
