Primary Courses for Sept 2023

APPLICATIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 2023 OPEN NATIONALLY ON 11 OCTOBER 2022

Our list of vacancies for September 2023 can now be seen in our vacancies tab on the left but be aware that this remains draft for the time being and the linked course information documents will be uploaded in due course.  It should all be finalised by mid Sept 2022, well before applications open.

CHOOSING YOUR SCHOOL

Unlike many providers, we enable you to choose your preferred main host school (or schools) at application. We provide information about our schools to help you decide which places to apply for. Each school interviews independently but we control the process centrally and operate a referral system -see more in the course information documents shortly!

PRIMARY BURSARIES

While the DfE offers no bursaries on unsalaried primary courses, many of our schools offer bursaries of their own to all successful candidates (£2,000 - £10,000).

EARLY RECRUITMENT FAIR

We are hosting an early recruitment fair with other course providers in Hammersmith on Tuesday 4 October to help you get 'ahead of the game'.  This will include a talk to explain about different routes into teaching and how make a successful application.  You can then meet course providers in person to discuss their vacancies. A booking link to Eventbrite will be added here by early September 2022.

SEARCHING FOR COURSES NATIONALLY

You can compare courses from different providers and see what's available near where you live, on the DfE portal FIND Post Graduate Teacher Training Courses.  This is expected to open for Sept 2023 courses in early October. Our own courses will also be included in this portal but its still easier to see our vacancies and download the course information document from our vacancies tab.  You could use the FIND portal perhaps to compare our courses to those offered by others.

NEED HELP?

We run a 'live' presentation and Q&A session every fortnight in term time, about getting into teaching. This is very detailed and candidates have found it useful - see tab on left to sign up for one of our sessions.

Otherwise, in term time please email any queries to Pippa Currey, pcurrey@sacredh.lbhf.sch.uk or call her on 0208 748 7600 x466
